Solar System formation: Velikovsky / Ackerman scenario

Velikovsky Ackerman scenario electric universe theoryAnother related to the Electric Universe theory on the Solar System Cosmogony is the Velikovsky / Ackerman scenario or shortened to the V/A Scenario.

These are John Ackerman’s theories based on the works of Immanuel Velikovsky, starting with Velikovsky’s Worlds in Collision. It would be suggested the V/A model is not accepted EU theory but is partly based or uses ideas from it.

Solar System formation

The basic idea (this is my summary so may be wrong) for the formation of the previous and present solar system involves only the giant planets forming first but they are ice giants not gas giants. Then a wandering giant planet is captured by our solar system and impacts on Jupiter causing solar system and planetary chaos. The rocky planets were born out of this massive Jupiter and other impacts on the ice giants.

In the proposed cosmogony, the solar system began with the accretion of the giant ice planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune in their current orbits.

They resulted from the same high energy impact on Jupiter which produced the GRS, the clouds, the rings, and the temperature excess. The Galilean moons formed in their current resonant orbits in the last six thousand years. The proto-Galilean satellites formed immediately from material which was ejected into orbit around Jupiter by the high energy impact 6000 years ago.

However, the formation of the Galilean satellites was even more unique, involving a two stage process. Greek myth, a first millennia AD arabic document, the presence today of a jet in the center of the GRS and measurements of the longitudinal drift of the GRS made in modern times, all lead to the conclusion that a long-lived torch-like flame shot into space from the impact site for some six millennia. Immediately after the impact this jet was so great that it encompassed the orbits of all the Galilean satellites, and has diminished so slowly that as of 1930 it was still ejecting mass from Jupiter.

V/A Model – Giant Planets Comprised the Original Solar System

The original solar system accreted from ice crystals, which encapsulated all the refractory compounds now present in the solar system. Since ice was required to enable the accretion of the smallest particles, this process only occurred in the zone from the radius of Jupiter outward. Outbursts from the young Sun quickly expelled gases and dust from the inner solar system. At the radius of Jupiter the dust grains catalyzed the formation of ice particles of H2O, NH3, and CH4, thereby capturing much of the gas in solid form.

… I therefore maintain that the original solar system comprised four giant ice planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, all of which are solid, low density, ice bodies and there are no ‘gas giants.’ Their initial accretion, perhaps from localized concentrations, was rapid enough, therefore hot enough, to form rocky iron cores from the refractory elements trapped in the ice.

V/A Scenario – proto planets like Venus and satellite moons

The gas hydrate composition of the great planets is a necessary aspect of the creation of the terrestrial planets. The giant planets are natural ‘bombs,’ waiting to go off. They explode locally in response to high energy impacts, causing the rebound of a massive amount of material from the crater into interplanetary space. Fortunately, the entire process was recorded in ancient chants, primarily the Rig Veda, a time-ordered hymn of a thousand stanzas, which begins with the impact on Jupiter 6,000 years BP resulting in the birth of Aditi. This event marked the birth of a new terrestrial planet, proto-Venus.

… Most of the rebounded plasma cloud escaped Jupiter and entered an eccentric orbit around the Sun. It quickly contracted, giving up its gravitational potential energy and forming a star-like proto-Venus, with a temperature well above 10,000 Kelvins. The remainder formed the proto-Galilean moons, the many smaller satellites of Jupiter, and some probably became the first main belt asteroids.

Formation of rocky planets like Earth and Venus

In addition to the rapid reduction of its orbit, the second important effect of the heating of proto-Venus was to cause the preferential loss of the lighter atoms up to atomic number 20 such as hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, sodium, chlorine, the most common elements blasted from the surface of Jupiter by the great impact. This concentrated the heavier atoms in the body of proto-Venus, gradually increasing its average density. This process was repeated at each perihelion pass for some twenty-eight years, becoming more frequent as the period of its orbit was reduced to less than one year. Because of its great internal heat, this out-gassing by thermal (or Jean’s) escape continued for four millennia, evidenced by references to Venus as a ‘comet’ in the first century BC. The loss of the lighter elements blasted from the surface of Jupiter, which has a density of 1.33 gm/cm3, resulted in a terrestrial body with a density of 5 gm/cm3. The heavy elements such as iron were immediately concentrated in the core and the hot, naturally radioactive elements, thorium, potassium and uranium rose to the surface. This entire process, which was observed by one hundred generations of humans, demonstrates how all terrestrial bodies were formed.
