Stanton Drew Stone Circles Somerset England

Stanton Drew Stone Circles Somerset England is a group of 3 Stone Circles in a majestic and relatively unspoilt nature, unlike Avebury Stone Circles and Stonehenge where man has destroyed their setting.

The main Stanton Drew Stone Circle in Somerset is in area massive, perhaps the 2nd largest surviving Megalithic Circle and has a smaller Stone Circle attached to it and another small Stone Circle in a  field close by.

The geology and the location of the Stanton Drew Stone Circles is interesting.

The Cove Stanton Drew Stone Circle Somerset England

The Cove is part of the Stanton Drew Stone Circles Somerset England complex. It is located away from the main Stanton Drew Stone Circles and you can visit it through the gate from the Druids Arm Carpark or go through the Druids Arm Pub.

The Cove is beside Stanton Drew's St Mary the Virgin Church and the church is between The Cove and the Stone Circles, more evidence that Churches are mainly built on older religious or significant sites.
