Il-Maqluba Malta - its "tank" and folklore

Il-Maqluba Malta - its "tank" and legends and myths of its formation
It is like a finger pointing toward the moon...
...don't concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory
Il-Maqluba Malta is an amazing feature on the island of Malta. Found very close to the temples of
Mnajdra,
Hagar Qim and the
Misqa tanks.
The only thing you would suggest it is not is a sinkhole, that which geology suggests it is. So what is it and why this spot in particular? In the previous post there are images showing a possible Electric Universe connection for its location. Are there any other alternative theories and can they be explained in an Electric Universe? After all if Everything Is Electric ...

Il-Maqluba Malta - one of the Maltese tanks/silos/cisterns/"jars"?
You cant see the forest for all the trees
When investigating the idea of Electric Universe geology (gEUlogy) and its effect on Malta I was told by a very wise man that if Malta had been struck by an EU catastrophy as the initial evidence suggested then there should be craters. Apart from the suggested semi obvious ones such as the circular bays, Mistra Bay, the Inland Sea and its "twin" crater the Black Lagoon (Fungus Rock bay).
Shortly afterwards i found out about Il-Maqluba Qrendi and I could believe what I saw. A fantastic crater hole in the ground that is totally out of place on the island of Malta. Later I noticed a few other smaller EU craters on Malta such as the
Bahrija crater.
I visited Il-Maqluba Malta a number of times and have climbed into the crater floor. I never once noticed the Il-Maqluba "tank" or silo or cistern or jar or whatever it is or you want to call it. It was brought to my attention by a person from Germany and I just could not understand what he was talking about .. big tank structure ... you cant miss it ...

1 of Malta's tanks/silos/jars found at the Il-Maqluba (upturned) crater or hole
According to legend, several hundred years ago, where the small chapel stands today, there was the humble abode of an old pious lady. The lady was always admonishing the erring inhabitants of a small hamlet situated where the depression is today. One day a terrible earthquake destroyed the hamlet but the old woman's house escaped any damage and was left, perched on the edge. This chapel, according to the legend was built to commemorate this event and to serve as a reminder to erring humans.

The Il-Maqluba tank would make the strangest looking house. The inside of the tank that remains has a covering that looks like cement. There are also some holes in the top of it that are similar to the ones found at the Maltese temple doorways and walls, or could they be similar to those mentioned found in some of the
Jars on the Plain of Jars, Laos?
My first thought on seeing the shape and the cement combined with the fact that Malta is a limestone island was "is this a kiln?". But there is no mention of it as a kiln in history or by the locals. Even combined with the Maltese folkore about the Phoenicians digging tanks and holes at Il-Maqluba no mention of a kiln.
The cement has been analysed by a German University and they were very surprised by the results. It is a cement very similar to cement of today but it is hundreds of years old. They actually requested it to go to a special research center investigating ancient building materials.

Maqluba Malta in Qrendi and its tank
So what is the Il-Maqluba tank and more importantly why is it on the edge of the hole/crater?
according to some studies that were done it is said that the land in around is the shallowest part of the area that the ancient Phoenicians excavated many large wells in there . A fact of that, a half remained bell shaped well is still intact and can be seen easily covered with deffun but it happened that the type of limestone in this area where these wells were dug is called Tas-Sekonda which means a type of stone very soft and inferior to the limestone, which deteriorates very quickly. Years after years ....... the heavy waters that came in melted the stones where the wells were excavated and also in that part of the land it is said that there was a natural cave in the middle (some kind like ghar dalam) when the waters came in it melted the stone tas sekonda and was swallowed in and it formed this depressed land.
It is mentioned that it happened in the 13th century when a huge tempest hit the island according to historical and scientifically facts.
The road that leads to the Maqluba is named for this tempest.

The German chap who mentioned the tanks believes that the tanks on Malta such as
Misqa tanks,
Dingli Cliffs tanks and the others were built and designed for energy purposes - be that to store, convert or produce energy.
The tanks/silos of Malta are a real puzzle. The Misqa tanks are said to be for water storage for the Temple Builders but they are on top of a hill so dont get much water flowing into them (also how did they know that the area had no fault lines or cracks in it?). The tanks at Dingli cliffs are even more of a mystery - why are they there when there is nothing in that area?
So, following through with his idea that the tanks of malta are for energy purposes could this help to explain why Il-Maqluba is there? From an Electric Universe slant if the area was an energy hot spot or there was lots of energy already there - would an EU event be more attracted to that spot?
Has the tank exploded or been blasted away? It could be suggested that the tank broke and fell into Il-Maqluba but the ground in front of it is normal for a meter or so. the next time i visit Il-Maqluba i will check if the shape of the tank would have gone off the edge incase it could have broken off.
it was also suggested that the Il-Maqluba tank was part of a larger storage complex and that Il-Maqluba itself may have been a large "tank". at no time did he mention the infomation above about the Phoenicians so i am not sure he even knows about that bit of Maltese folklore.
so, could the great tempesta of 1343 have triggered an explosion of the Il-Maqluba tanks? remembering that the tempesta was not just a normal storm but something way beyond that. was this at the same time as the legends of the
Ray of Light hill (tas salvatur Gozo)?
