the Kaimanawa Wall structure, Lake Taupo - natural or man made?

Kaimanawa Wall New Zealand mystery - is it natural or man made and if man made when? Maoris have no knowledge of it and it is officially an outcrop of rock

The Kaimanawa Wall structure near Lake Taupo New Zealand is an amazing structure - be it natural or man made. If it is natural then its incredible as the blocks form perfectly together and are completely flat at the end. They also go upwards and backwards in blocks and levels. The Kaimanawa Wall either also goes back a long way as there is a mound going backwards from it or it is at the end of a long mound.

If the Kaimanawa Wall structure is man made then is it the end of a large wall or building/structure? With the layered and stepped top it looks more like the Kaimanawa pyramid.

Kaimanawa Wall structure near Lake Taupo New Zealand - controversy and conspiracy is found around this object

the Kaimanawa Wall found on the North Island of New Zealand is just off Clements Mill road on the left as you drive along (about 12-15 km) along. You cant miss it as it is beside the road but set back about 5 meters. It is the only thing like it along the road. Strange how the road ended up going passed the end of it. What are the odds?

the Kaimanawa Wall blocks are massive and have very straight lines and joins. it looks like a brilliant job of masonry by a stone building civilisation. the same people who built the Tapapakanga Park stone village, Waipoua Forest Stone City and the Waitapu Valley astronomy complex?

Kaimanawa Wall - is it formed of natural or man made blocks/rocks? can nature make a wall as perfectly formed as this? Why is this the only thing like it in the area?

this Kaimanawa Wall block has been pushed or moved forward, notice the very flat edges of the rock block

Kaimanawa Wall structure and mystery at Lake Taupo, North Island of New Zealand

in this image (all images are from the fantastic site mysteriousnewzealand.co.nz) you can see how straight the lines are along and upwards? does natural rock fissure naturally like this in such perfect formations?

one example of great straight lines and shape structures is the Giants Causeway in Ireland but they are not block shapes

Kaimanawa Wall - ancient stone building, structure or pyramid or ancient natural rock formation?

close up image of the masonry joints or natural fissures that form the blocks of the puzzling Kaimanawa Wall. If the Kaimanawa Wall is natural then it should be studied in further detail as it is unique (from what i have seen at the moment)

Kaimanawa Wall natural square rocks/boulders or man made structure?

Kaimanawa Wall or Kaimanawa pyramid - does this prove pre maori New Zealand history?

this last image here (many more superb images at the mysteriousnewzealand.co.nz site) shows the sloping end of the Kaimanawa Wall or Kaimanawa Pyramid or Kaimanawa natural rock structure

If you visit New Zealands North Island you have to visit this structure to see for yourself. As the Kaimanawa Wall is near Lake Taupo you will be going in that direction anyway.

the real issue is that if the Kaimanawa Wall structure is man made then it causes a problem for official New Zealand history. the Maoris have no knowledge of this as a structure and have not constructed anything like it that we know.

Kaimanawa Wall - are stone walls built like this?

this was posted on the mysteriousnewzealand.co.nz where the images of the Kaimanawa Wall in this thread were obtained. it makes a good point and everything has to be considered. are there any examples of ancient man made walls or structures being built like this? is it just the outside wall or does this prove that the Kaimanawa Wall is a natural rock formation?

Kaimanawa wall

woke up this morning thinking about the Kaimanawa wall, so read all the captions on all the photos, and had to put in my pennyworth

in the comments by protagonists and experts, in spite of an admirably thorough attempt by the authors, to be impartial and show all sides, there is one angle missing, that of a stone-wall builder, which i realised, reluctantly, that i am qualified to contribute

if these stones are part of a construction, cut and shaped and carried from a distance, then they have been laid in with remarkable inattention to the basic rules of building in stone

in stone walls, as in bricklaying, it is anathema to lay two courses such that there is a continuous crack, from one course to the next.....this is called a "vertical joint", and to the educated eye, a vertical joint is like listening to an orchestra with one horribly out-of-tune instrument......it sticks out from a great distance, and screams of amateur building, and makes the expert look for two things:

first, the quality of the rocks, that have been wasted by some fool

second, other indications of awkwardness

i have seen hundreds of pictures of ancient stonework, and a few up close and personal, and i've never once seen vertical joints like these in the Kaimanawa wall pics

well, was that a pennyworth, or what?
