spacequakes/magneticshocks = variation of earthquakes

Do these magneticquakes/spacequakes = variation of earthquakes? In an electric universe are these magneticshocks/spaceshocks a scalable versions of an earthshock?

Do the Plasma Bombs and the earths magneticshocks trigger our earthquakes and other electric universe effects? What is the exchange that goes upwards in the circuit?

Below are a few excerpts from the translated report (a poor google translate it has to be said) of the article Plasmabomben lösen Weltraumbeben aus which roughly means "Plasma bombs create Galaxy Earthquakes"

Quote
Compass needles quiver, they show currently not reliable to the north. A giant quake is in progress. But the soil does not wobble - Earth's magnetic field vibrates. "Just takes place near Earth space a really strong quake," says Wolfgang Baumjohann of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (AAS). It was probably the strongest quake ever measured space. "You can probably compare with the strength of the earthquake to Haiti in January."

...The quake in the magnetic field begins with a solar storm: Time and again the central star torches, electrically charged particles hurled into space.

..."The measurement curve is similar to the seismogram of earthquake," says the researcher. "That really surprised us." The energy released by both natural phenomena is comparable, says Rumi Nakamura of the Academy. However: "A Space earthquake extends over a much larger area, the energy is distributed accordingly."

spacequakes | earths nightside plasma jet - is there a circuit and feedback loop?

I will post the diagrams soon but could there be a circuit? there is also a diagram of the spacequake (plasma jet), the ground magnetic field and an earthquake. they look very similar, have the same numbers in time and energy, just in a different location. is it a negative feedback loop or some sort of feedback?

Spacequakes protect us from dangerous particles emitted by the Sun

Scientists have discovered a new way in which the Earth’s magnetic field protects us against dangerous articles from the Sun, thereby causing a ‘spacequake’.

The Earth has a magnetic field that acts as a very effective shield against the ever-present stream of energetic particles emanating from the sun, the so-called solar wind. At times, small fractions of solar wind energy manage to enter the Earth’s magnetosphere and to come close to Earth from its rear side, the so-called ‘magnetotail’. These energetic particles form a plasma jet, racing towards the Earth with a speed exceeding 1,000,000 km/h. These plasma jets create fieldaligned currents and auroras at low altitude by precipitating particles along the magnetic field.

For the first time ever, using data from the THEMIS satellite, it was possible to observe what happens when the kinetic and thermal energy in the fast plasma jets encounter the tension and energy of the inner magnetospheric dipolar field. To keep a long story short, flexibility wins. The Earthward plasma jet is repelled by the inner magnetosphere and flows back away from the Earth, tries again with lower velocity, but is repelled again, and so on and so forth. This causes the dipolar field to shake and rattle, in effect creating a spacequake.

spacequakes = earthquakes !!!  (similar signature and energy release)

Earths spacequakes have a very similar signature to earthquakes both in the energy output signal and the amount of energy released. One of the mantras of the electric universe theory is scalability, that everything can be scaled up or down. Therefore, are spacequakes and earthquakes variations of each other?

spacequakes cause and trigger the auroras. around earthquakes there are reports of earthquake lights.

below is a quick summary of the EGU 2010 press conference on spacequakes. i have tried to give the ideas as they see them. not that i agree with all the conclusions or ideas they have come up with.

there is a full transcript of the EGU 2010 press conference on spacequakes that includes a link to the video and all the images they used.

the earths fast plasma jet downwind of earth accelerates towards the earth

the sun sends its charged plasma wind (solar wind) towards the earth. when it reaches the earth it is travelling at over 1 million kmh. on the earths nightside there is a region where the plasma wind suddenly goes into reverse and accelerates TOWARDS the earth at over 300 kmh.

plasma jet accelerates towards the earth and is "rebuffed" by magentic feilds causing the spacequakes

When this plasma jet hits the earths magnetosphere it indents the magentic field lines inwards but these then rebuff it, so the plasma jet goes outwards. but the plasma jet reverses again and comes back towards the earth a few times. this causes the spacequakes.

the earths fast plasma jet and the spacequakes cause the northern lights. spacequakes and earthquakes have similar signature and energy release

about 10% of the solar plasma wind escapes into earths atmosphere through the nightside spacequakes. a spacequakes cause magnetic compasses to oscillate. the energy released by a spacequake = an earthquake. they also have the same timeframe. these trigger the auroras.

spacequakes in an electric universe

solar plasma wind and earths fast plasma jet

the solar plasma wind accelerates the further it gets away from the sun. to accelerate charged particles you apply an electromagnetic force. on earth we do this with CERN. when it reaches earth the solar plasma wind has accelerated to over 1 million kmh. the earths fast plasma jet is plasma accelerated to over 300 kmh towards the earth, against the flow of the solar wind. is it the solar wind being reversed or is it plasma being accelerated at that point in space?

if it is an electric universe then this plasma jet should be part of a circuit, so not just plasma/energy going into the earth but also coming out.

is the "rebuff" part of the circuit, plasma being reversed and flowing out from the earth? the plasma jets vortex flow direction changes depending on if it goes in or out. but why does the plasma jet keep changing direction?

is it a damping oscillation graph we see or is it a feedback loop in an electric universe?

if its an electric earth in an electric universe there must be circuits ...

space tornadoes (twisting plasma at 1 million mph) connect the the sun to the earth (gravity universe?). right where the earths northern aurora and plasma space fountain are.

also where the nightside plasma jet that helps trigger the spacequakes has one of its connnections/echange points with the earth

earths plasma space fountain - part of the circuit with the northern aurora. why does the earth, in a gravity universe, accelerate and eject all that plasma?

TIDE's discovery that nearly 50 tons of material spews from the Earth's poles each day is one of the most exciting in space physics in recent years. TIDE observed that a fountain of low-energy plasma (ionized gases) is flowing from the polar regions of Earth's atmosphere into space. With its neutralizing plasma source, TIDE can readily detect low-energy ions rising from the day side of the auroral ovals.

SL's TIDE instrument aboard Polar revealed a fountain of low-energy plasma rising from the Earth's poles into space (the lower arc depicts a 1995 rocket flight which provided supporting data).

spacequakes/magnetosphere circuit- part of the earths global electric circuit

the magnetic lines and plasma seems to come in at the sides of the north and south polar region, where you find the strongest auroras i believe.

and one of the results is ...

auroras - colliding, connecting, making circuits, short circuiting or what?

are there others? there nearly has to be, this cant just be the only thing it does?

or is it a trigger or exchange system the other way? does the earth always have to be passive/reactive? can it, has it been the aggressor, the fire starter?

spacequakes and earthquakes are similar!
does the same thing trigger them and/or create them?

Rumbles without sound
Auroras rain down
Magnetic fields shake
Beware the spacequake

July 27, 2010:  Researchers using NASA's fleet of five THEMIS spacecraft have discovered a form of space weather that packs the punch of an earthquake and plays a key role in sparking bright Northern Lights. They call it "the spacequake."

A spacequake is a temblor in Earth's magnetic field. It is felt most strongly in Earth orbit, but is not exclusive to space. The effects can reach all the way down to the surface of Earth itself.

"Magnetic reverberations have been detected at ground stations all around the globe, much like seismic detectors measure a large earthquake," says THEMIS principal investigator Vassilis Angelopoulos of UCLA.

It's an apt analogy because "the total energy in a spacequake can rival that of a magnitude 5 or 6 earthquake," according to Evgeny Panov of the Space Research Institute in Austria. Panov is first author of a paper reporting the results in the April 2010 issue of Geophysical Research Letters (GRL).

In 2007, THEMIS discovered the precursors of spacequakes. The action begins in Earth's magnetic tail, which is stretched out like a windsock by the million mph solar wind. Sometimes the tail can become so stretched and tension-filled, it snaps back like an over-torqued rubber band. Solar wind plasma trapped in the tail hurtles toward Earth. On more than one occasion, the five THEMIS spacecraft were in the line of fire when these "plasma jets" swept by. Clearly, the jets were going to hit Earth. But what would happen then? The fleet moved closer to the planet to find out.

"Now we know," says THEMIS project scientist David Sibeck of the Goddard Space Flight Center. "Plasma jets trigger spacequakes."

According to THEMIS, the jets crash into the geomagnetic field some 30,000 km above Earth's equator. The impact sets off a rebounding process, in which the incoming plasma actually bounces up and down on the reverberating magnetic field. Researchers call it "repetitive flow rebuffing." It's akin to a tennis ball bouncing up and down on a carpeted floor. The first bounce is a big one, followed by bounces of decreasing amplitude as energy is dissipated in the carpet.

"We've long suspected that something like this was happening," says Sibeck. "By observing the process in situ, however, THEMIS has discovered something new and surprising."

plasma vortices flows and earths spacequakes

The surprise is plasma vortices, huge whirls of magnetized gas as wide as Earth itself, spinning on the verge of the quaking magnetic field.

"When plasma jets hit the inner magnetosphere, vortices with opposite sense of rotation appear and reappear on either side of the plasma jet," explains Rumi Nakamura of the Space Research Institute in Austria, a co-author of the study. "We believe the vortices can generate substantial electrical currents in the near-Earth environment."

Acting together, vortices and spacequakes could have a noticeable effect on Earth. The tails of vortices may funnel particles into Earth's atmosphere, sparking auroras and making waves of ionization that disturb radio communications and GPS. By tugging on surface magnetic fields, spacequakes generate currents in the very ground we walk on. Ground current surges can have profound consequences, in extreme cases bringing down power grids over a wide area.

After THEMIS discovered the jets and quakes, Joachim Birn of the Los Alamos National Lab in New Mexico conducted a computer simulation of the rebounding process. Lo and behold, vortices appeared in good accord with THEMIS measurements. Moreover, the simulations suggest that the rebounding process can be seen from Earth's surface in the form of ripples and whirls in auroral displays. Ground stations report just such a phenomenon.

"It's a complicated process, but it all fits together," says Sibeck.

The work isn't finished. "We still have a lot to learn," he adds. "How big can spacequakes become? How many vortices can swirl around Earth at once--and how do they interact with one another?"

Stay tuned for answers from THEMIS.

plasma vortices and spacequakes in an Electric Universe

plasma jets trigger spacequakes and plasma vortices

Plasma vortices are part of the plasma jets, spacequakes, Earth and Sun circuit in an Electric Universe. More things will be found to be connecting all of these together. What happens when they discover that energy from the earth goes towards the Sun either during these events or even by another method? How will that be explained in a Gravity Universe?

Remember this is all happening on the night side of the Earth, away from the Sun so everything has to go back towards the Earth and the Sun.

magnetic lines are theoretical lines, similar to weather map lines. weather lines do not reconnect nor do magnetic lines. plasma is an electrically charged gas and accelerates when an electromagmetic force is applied to it.

The solar wind or solar plasma wind accelerates the further it gets away from the sun because it has an electromagnetic force applied to it. Not gravity. We do the same to charged particles on Earth using CERN. And there are 2 types of solar plasma wind, the fast solar wind and the slow solar wind. Put that in your Gravity pipe and smoke it. How does gravity accelerate particles at different speeds? Perhaps if it is an electric force acting on particles charged at different amounts ...

There has been no tensioning and snapping of a magnetic tail (charged plasma), there has been a release or massive increase of electromagnetic energy (perhaps the circuit has connected or shorted) and the plasma has been accelerated. Remember it is flowing AGAINST the solar wind which is moving at 1,000,000 mph.

Yes, of course you have. You have always thought the Earth/Sun were connected and bored us to tears with your theories and non stop talk about all the plasma connections and circuits. You have suspected this about as long as you have been nagging us, like the worst mother in law on earth, about Mercury and its "magnetic" connections to the Sun ...

You not been reading anything to do with the Electric Universe theory then have you? Of course not because the whole universe is all to do with magnetism and gravity. because gravity is the weakest of the forces and magnetism has nothing to do with electrical energy because its ... electromagnetism.

So, could these plasma jets be triggered and created by electromagnetic forces? Would they be moving massive amounts of electrical energy? Would they be part of a circuit. Why do you get plasma circuits in a Gravity Universe?

Would these plasma vortices be similar or a variation of Birkeland Currents? Could they prove its an Electric Universe?

One question that needs to be found out or answered is are the pair of plasma vortices that rotate in opposite directions actually flowing in different directions? one rotates and flows towards the earth and the other rotates and flows away from the earth? Could Flemings Hand Rules be applied here to work out which way the current (plasma) is flowing.

Do the plasma vortices show that there are other things about this circuit that we do not know yet? why would they rotate in different directions? is the plasma jet the trigger or is it part of a bigger circuit and something else triggers the plasma jet?

do the plasma vortices actually provide the electromagnetic acceleration force for the plasma that makes up the plasma jet?

spacequakes, plasma vortices and Van Allen radiation belts

inner and outer Van Allen radiation belts and spacequakes

Outer Van Allen radiation belt - starts around a distance of 3 Earth radius away and extends to around 10 earth radius. earths radius is about 6350 km. the most intense or energetic part of the outer Van Allen radiation belt is said to be 4-5 earth radius, which is around 25400 km to 31750 km. the outer Van Allen radiation belt is mainly electrons, which are negatively charged. the inner Van Allen radiation belt is mainly protons which are positively charged.

are the inner and outer Van Allen radiation belts one of the main circuits for the electric earth?

spacequakes, plasma vortices and circuits

plasma vortices rotating in opposite directions or natural wires in a circuit?

reading the new report it seems that there is not just one plasma jet there are more. are these extra plasma jets that were reported before or are these the name tht the plasma jets have now been given?

Anyway, the plasma vortices rotate in opposite directions suggesting perhaps that the electrical current (plasma) is flowing in different directions or they are being rotated by opposite electromagnetic forces/fields.

if the plasma if flowing in different directions (in and out or up and down) then you have the natural wiring for an electrical circuit in an Electric Universe. if there are more than 2 then you could have multiple wires or coils. are these plasma vortices carrying energy in and out or out and then in?

are the spacequakes plasma vortices Birkeland Currents or variations of them? that these plasma vortices rotate in opposite directions is not something i have heard of happening before with Birkeland Currents but it may happen. standard Birkeland Currents give a great idea of what natural wiring can be and do in a plasma universe

Quote

A Birkeland current usually refers to the electric currents in a planet's ionosphere that follows magnetic field lines (ie field-aligned currents), and sometimes used to described any field-aligned electric current in a space plasma.[3] They are caused by the movement of a plasma perpendicular to a magnetic field. Birkeland currents often show filamentary, or twisted "rope-like" magnetic structure. They are also known as field-aligned currents, magnetic ropes and magnetic cables).

Originally Birkeland currents referred to electric currents that contribute to the aurora, caused by the interaction of the plasma in the Solar Wind with the Earth's magnetosphere. The current flows earthwards down the morning side of the Earth's ionosphere, around the polar regions, and spacewards up the evening side of the ionosphere. These Birkeland currents are now sometimes called auroral electrojets. The currents were predicted in 1903 by Norwegian explorer and physicist Kristian Birkeland, who undertook expeditions into the Arctic Circle to study the aurora.

if the plasma vortices are the result of an electromagnetic field/force then what type of field/force/circuit is affecting them? why do they spin in opposite directions?

spacequakes, plasma vortices and circuit diagrams

are they linked to the idea that the earth could be a transformer of some kind?

could the plasma vortices rotating in an opposite direction be due to a large scale Birkeland Current or single massive plasma filiment? are these the same as the Space Tornadoes that THEMIS found or are they variations? Space Tornadoes are Birkeland Currents.
