Peratt Instabilities and polar plasma columns

Malta's famous megalithic structures have this carved plinth. Is it the awestruck record of a plasma discharge, the builders observed a Peratt Instability on the horizon and in the heavens?

James Clerk Maxwell himself observed in 1873:
"Some of the forms of electrical discharge through rare gases are exceedingly remarkable. In some cases there is a regular alternation of luminous and dark strata, so that if the electricity, for example, is passing along a tube containing a very small quantity of gas, a number of luminous disks will be seen arranged transversely at nearly equal intervals along the axis of the tube and separated by dark strata.

If the strength of the current be increased a new disk will start into existence, and it and the old disks will arrange themselves in closer order.

These, and many other phenomena of electrical discharge, are exceedingly important, and when they are better understood they will probably throw great light on the nature of electricity as well as on the nature of gases and of the medium pervading space."

In modern terminology, such luminous disks are viewed as a type of plasma instability occurring in z-pinches; informally – though not in the published literature – they have been referred to as Peratt Instabilities, after the American plasma physicist, Anthony Peratt.

The Peratt Instabilities often take the form of a columnar plasma discharge which is surrounded by stacked plasma toroids. The top and bottom toroids can evolve into cup and bell shapes. The edges of the toroids often warp upwards or downwards.

The number of toroids can vary between three and around nine and can resemble anything from chalices to ladders. Various other forms exist as well, depending on the nature of the plasma and the currents in it.

Peratt Instabilities observed from Malta?

At the megalithic Hagar Qim (temples) on the island of Malta, was found that limestone carved plinth. The maps red lines shows where it was found in the The Ħaġar Qim complex, this was next to the only corridor where you can look towards what is now the north east or south west.

Peratt suggests that deadly levels of synchrotron radiation are theoretically possible from the size and magnitude of these Birkeland filaments, blinding deadly white light, blistering of the skin.

Recent research by Anthony Peratt... has identified a series of very high energy plasma discharges which now bear his name. The Peratt Instabilities are modes of plasma discharge which adopt definite forms and which, despite their name, can remain stable for periods of time long enough to observe them. In some respects, they are like DLs [plasma Double Layers], which are dynamic ‘instabilities’ that can remain static in location whilst involving rapid particle motions.

Similar to Tony Peratt's rather high energy and lethal density plasma research at the Los Alamos National Laboratory? After he had looked at ancient rock art and carvings from previous civilisations.

The carvings show the Owl, pair of eyes, handbags of the Gods as some have suggested, the stack of arrows, toroids, Tree of Life etc.

C R Sant may have shown that the Maltese solar observatories (that are called temples) may have been constructed when the globe was aligned slightly different.

Multiple Peratts and Birkelands?

Mythology, chronology and things in general can get a little bit confusing with Peratt's plasmoidal instabilities. He suggests petroglyphs align to structure(s) of Birkeland currents observed towards our south magnetic pole. Comparative mythologists have perhaps revealed lots of folklore about a northern polar Tree of Life, Axis Mundi, Tower etc.

Rens Van der Sluijs and Jno Cook have investigated these electromagnetic ancient mythologies carved into stone and our memory, myths, religions of gods and mythical creatures and history.

This column of plasma (consisting of individual streams of electrons in arc mode) stretched away from the South Pole, and at some distance from the pole took a turn away from the Earth's axis of rotation (apparently some 30 degrees). Three ball-shaped plasmoids in this stream were located at distances of 165,000, 190,000, and 435,000 miles (265,000, 300,000, and 700,000 km) below the South Pole. The bend in the column allowed the destinations to be glimpsed even at far northern latitudes on a daily basis. Peratt has named the visible stream of plasma the Peratt Column.

Peratt writes, "The number of millennia or centuries involved remains unknown," and offers a broad estimate of 10,000 BC to 2,000 BC. In only one instance, for petroglyphs in the southwest of the USA, does he use a more specific date, "these objects stretched back some 7000 years in time." Thus we have one estimate here of about 5000 BC. He also notes that some petroglyphs were overdrawn or added to "two or three times." This would suggest periods of centuries.

Marinus Anthony van der Sluijs worked with Tony Peratt and others from the Thunderbolts Group on the Characteristics for the Occurrence of a High-Current, Z-Pinch Aurora as Recorded in Antiquity project and field work around the world. Rens van der Sluijs has since reconsidered his own and Peratt's conclusions, Rens has produced a couple of papers including A Geomagnetic Approach to Traditions of Axis Mundi, Part 1 where Rens suggests that there were multiple Peratt Columns in our skies at the same time.

Are they part of the same Birkeland filaments phenomenon, or from different ages, or was the northern pipe due to other planets like the Saturn Polar Configuration, or Peter Warlow's tippe toppe world or partial electron spin flips or Earth's geomagnetic jerks? Who really knows what and when it happened.
