Ammonia crater: in or from Charon?

charon ammonia crater elements transmutationsLarge amounts of frozen ammonia have been detected in and around the area of a crater on Pluto's satellite moon Charon. Other amounts of ammonia are found nearby. A general detection of ammonia had been found previously but not in a defined location.

A similar sized crater nearby does not have any ammonia in it or around it. The ammonia crater also has a darker centre.

"Why are these two similar-looking and similar-sized craters, so near to each other, so compositionally distinct?" asked Will Grundy, New Horizons Composition team lead from Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona. "We have various ideas when it comes to the ammonia in Organa. The crater could be younger, or perhaps the impact that created it hit a pocket of ammonia-rich subsurface ice. Alternatively, maybe Organa’s impactor delivered its own ammonia."

If the ammonia is below Charon's surface then why have other 'impact craters' not released the ammonia?

The ammonia is said to be released by the meteor impact but why is it not found along all the ejecta rays, especially the longer ones?

Both craters are about the same size – roughly 5 kilometers [3 miles] in diameter – with similar appearances, including bright wisps or rays of ejected material, or ejecta. One apparent difference is that Organa has a central region of darker ejecta, though from the map created with data from New Horizons’ Ralph/LEISA instrument, it appears that the ammonia-rich material extends beyond this dark area.

Is it important that the ammonia crater is on the side facing Pluto?

If the ammonia and crater were formed by some sort of electrical discharge (EDM, spark eroding, spluttering?) then were the other smaller patches of ammonia created when the spark jumped to other places during the physical excavation of the crater material?

Could the Organa craters physical location towards Pluto be evidence that it was formed during an electrical discharge event between Pluto and Charon?

Could the area of the crater still be an active area in an Electric Universe sense, so an electrochemical process is still going on to create ammonia?
